Interpretation (simultaneous or consecutive) consists in translating a speaker’s words from one language to another.
Simultaneous interpretation requires interpreting equipment and facilities such as booths, headsets and switching units ; it mainly concerns International conferences and business seminars.
During consecutive interpretation the interpreter makes notes of the original speech while it is being said and then reiterates it in the target language; it mainly concerns short meetings or seminars with a limited number of persons.
Liaison interpretation does not require equipment and is recommended for meetings with a limited number of persons, sales meeting, site visits, training sessions.
